The Evansville Harrison Warriors will be playing at home against the Evansville Bosse Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Evansville Harrison will be looking to keep their 13-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Evansville Harrison put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 84-47 win over Owensboro at home. Given Evansville Harrison's advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 16th in Indiana, while Owensboro is ranked 108th in Kentucky), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Evansville Harrison relied on the efforts of Shane Sims, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists, and Malachi Mcnair, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Sims pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Summitt, who scored seven points along with ten assists and seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Evansville Bosse posted their closest win since December 12, 2023 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Evansville Mater Dei and snuck past 59-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Evansville Harrison has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Evansville Bosse, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Evansville Harrison beat Evansville Bosse 78-69 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Will Evansville Harrison repeat their success, or does Evansville Bosse have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
