Volleyball Recap: Scituate Has No Trouble Against Salem

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Scituate walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Salem Witches with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Sailors yet this season.

Scituate never let Salem on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-23, 25-17.

Anna Bradley paced Scituate's offense, picking up 19 kills. Bradley got some help from Serena Whitelock and her 33 assists. Matilda Grant controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Scituate moved to 6-15 with that victory, which also ended their three-match losing streak. As for Salem, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 12-9.

Looking ahead, Scituate will face off against Bellingham on Saturday. Salem does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
