Meanwhile, Ellis was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 53-52 to Plainville. Ellis has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Ellis saw an underclassman step up: Aiden Aschenbrenner scored 21 points along with two steals. Aschenbrenner is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Toby Honas, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Thomas More Prep-Marian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Ellis, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
