The Horizon Prep Lions were the 60-13 winner over the Warner Wildcats when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Horizon Prep suffered a tough 54-30 defeat at the hands of Warner on Friday. Horizon Prep has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Warner found their leader in underclassman Anthony Porras , who scored 17 points along with 7 steals and 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Omar Acosta, who scored 10 points.
Horizon Prep has fallen quite a ways from their 18-6 record last season and are now at 1-3. As for Warner, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
Horizon Prep will be playing at home against Julian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Julian is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Warner, they will take on West Shores at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
