St. Mary's is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They walked away with a 15-11 victory over West on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Rams considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Ava Arucan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and ten unearned) runs on 12 hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Maya Garcia was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Matea Muraoka, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
St. Mary's hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Kimball made sure to put some runs up on the board against West on Friday. The Jaguars were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Wolfpack. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Wolfpack recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Karaliya DePerio was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Iolana Faasisila, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. St. Mary's has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Kimball struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
St. Mary's came up short against Kimball when the teams last played on April 10th, falling 10-6. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
