The North RedHawks will head out to challenge the Life Prep Fire at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Life Prep took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on North, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, North made easy work of Heights and carried off a 14-7 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the RedHawks.
Ana Amador made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Amador was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season.

In other batting news, Yulisa Herrera Trejo was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Evelyn Escamilla was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
North always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Heights only posted an OBP of .485.
Meanwhile, Life Prep lost 17-2 to Destiny Christian last Friday. The Fire have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.
Life Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for North, their record is now 2-0.
North came out on top in a nail-biter against Life Prep in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 6-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the RedHawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
