On Saturday, Pender sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 41-39 win over Plattsmouth. The win made it back-to-back wins for Pender.
It was another big night for Alex Roth, who scored 25 points along with nine rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Aiden Beckman was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Pender is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Plattsmouth, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
Pender will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Lyons-Decatur Northeast. Lyons-Decatur Northeast will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Pender is ranked 95th). Plattsmouth and Louisville will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
