Elijah Andersen Crosses Big Stat Threshold
On Friday, Woodland got the W thanks in part to Elijah Andersen playing the best football he has all season. Andersen rushed for 144 yards and four touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 166 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 2.1 rushing touchdowns per game. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Andersen must have Hudson's Bay's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Andersen last faced the Eagles back in October of 2023, he rushed for 237 yards and five touchdowns on only 15 carries.

Washougal found a leader in Elijah Franco as the squad took down R.A. Long on Friday. Franco was dynamite, making seven total tackles (3.0 for loss) and defending three passes. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Washougal is 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
Washougal now has a winning record of 4-3. Franco will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Columbia River on Friday.
