The Keyport Raiders will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Roselle Park Panthers at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Ocean Township scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, Keyport still came out on top. Keyport snuck past Ocean Township with a 60-56 win.
Even though Roselle Park has not done well against Dayton recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Roselle Park skirted past Dayton 58-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Keyport pushed their record up to 1-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.4 points per game. As for Roselle Park, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Keyport was able to grind out a solid win over Roselle Park when the teams last played back in December of 2022, winning 78-71. Does Keyport have another victory up their sleeve, or will Roselle Park turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
