Carson got a great performance from Isabella Campos as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave Campos a new career-high.
At the plate, Rylee Gardner was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and one triple. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Ashannalee Titialii was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run.
Carson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, San Pedro put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Monday. They blew past Narbonne 21-0.
Caroline Baker tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Mia Guerrero, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Breya Ventura, who went 1-for-3 with four runs and three RBI.
San Pedro's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Carson, their win bumped their record up to 16-1-1.
Carson's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's game. The Colts have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for San Pedro, though, as they've been averaging only 0.9 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Carson continue to outrun the ball?
