Laguna Beach extended the longest winning streak in Orange Coast this week by beating Saddleback, 49-6. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Godinez moved up to 770 from 833 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league.
EDUARDO BERNAL put up the best numbers through the air as the Roadrunners fell to Laguna Beach. He finished with nine completions for 78 yards. BERNAL's favorite target this week was ADRIAN REYES, who caught three passes for 36 yards.
Matt Jarmacz was the best wideout in the league this week as Estancia topped Costa Mesa. Jarmacz racked up one reception for 46 yards. Deion Te' Haywood helped Estancia's passing attack out by catching one ball for 13 yards.
Oronde Crenshaw was the most productive running back in Orange Coast this week. In 20 carries, he ran for 171 yards as the Mustangs bested the Mustangs. Justin Smith also contributed to the rushing game with 152 yards on the ground.
Calvary Chapel's Colin Kearon and Luke Kaeser have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Kearon has thrown for 936 yards this season, while Kaeser, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 21 catches for 417 yards. Michael Churchill's team's Drake Martinez leads the league in rushing yards with 639.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Laguna Beach takes on second place Estancia. The Breakers defeated Saddleback last week, while Estancia beat Costa Mesa.
There should be lots of points scored when Mike Bargas' team and Laguna Beach face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Eagles comes in having scored 147 this season, while the Breakers have scored 311. Estancia scored 15 points last week as it topped Wally Grant's team.
