The Immanuel Christian Crusaders can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Owens Valley 55-26 at home. Immanuel Christian pushed the score to 44-18 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cubs had little chance of recovering from.
Immanuel Christian can attribute much of their success to Henry James Guevara, who scored 12 points along with two steals. Guevara hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Peter Brennan, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Owens Valley saw an underclassman step up: Drake Martinez scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. That was a full 57.7% of Owens Valley's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mark Glenn, who scored three points along with six rebounds.
The win got Immanuel Christian back to even at 7-7. As for Owens Valley, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
