Volleyball Recap: Roxana Gets the Win

Roxana won the last time they faced Metro-East Lutheran and things went their way on Saturday too. The Shells came out on top against the Knights by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Shells.

Tatum Shaw paced Roxana's offense, picking up five kills. Shaw got some help from Daisy Daugherty and her 14 assists. Daugherty was also a major player on defense: she and she shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with three each.

Roxana's win bumped their record up to 9-20. As for Metro-East Lutheran, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-23.

Roxana wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Carrollton on the 18th. As for Metro-East Lutheran, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Carlinville on the 18th.
