Cook and the Rams are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Cook Hornets will head out on the road to take on the Worth County Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Cook is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Cook ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They snuck past Brooks County with a 61-55 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Cook got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Reshauld Tippins out in front who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Ny'shaun Wallace, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Worth County pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jeff Davis. Worth County has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
The victory got Cook back to even at 10-10. As for Worth County, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.
Cook came up short against the Rams in their previous matchup back in January, falling 48-44. Can Cook avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
