The McLane Highlanders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Sanger West on the road to the tune of 82-55. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory McLane has posted since November 27, 2023.
It was another big night for James Brown, who scored 23 points along with six steals. Isaiah Pamanes was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Sanger West lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Angad Doad, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Ruffin, who scored seven points.
McLane is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Sanger West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McLane will square off against Madera South at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Madera South is on a three-game streak of home wins, McLane a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Sanger West, they will head out on the road to take on Fresno at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
