The Bonneville Bees will venture away from home to take on the Skyline Grizzlies at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bonneville will be looking to extend their current 14-game winning streak.
While Bonneville's victory against Idaho Falls wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bees won by a run and slipped past the Tigers 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bees have posted against the Tigers since April 14, 2023.

Carter Bowen was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Bowen wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Greyson Martin, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Martin is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, Skyline waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Russets as they made off with a 9-1 victory. Considering the Grizzlies have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
John Giannini tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk).
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Izaak Hansen, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Jones, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Skyline was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Bonneville's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Skyline, their record now sits at 10-5.
Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bonneville has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .495. However, it's not like Skyline struggles in that department as they've averaged .471. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bonneville took their win against Skyline when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 25-17 score. Will the Bees repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
