Basketball Recap: Arundel Skates Past Chesapeake Science Point with Ease

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Arundel's strategy against Chesapeake Science Point on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Arundel Wildcats blew Chesapeake Science Point out of the water with a 78-39 final score. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with Chesapeake Science Point: they've now won eight in a row.

Arundel found their leader in sophomore Chisom Eze, who went 8-for-11 on his way to 19 points and seven rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Eze now owns an excellent 51.1% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Javeon Reed, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 14 points.

Arundel was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matches.

Several Chesapeake Science Point players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sho'N Lacy, who went 5-for-8 en route to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Laroche, who posted nine points.

Arundel's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Chesapeake Science Point, they dropped their record down to 1-15 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

Arundel wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 55-52 defeat against Severna Park on the 14th. As for Chesapeake Science Point, they have also already played their next contest, a 62-36 loss against Annapolis on the 12th.
