After flying high against the Keshequa Indians last Tuesday, the Perry Yellowjackets came back down to earth. Perry fell 55-47 to Mount Morris on Saturday. The match was a 24-24 toss-up at halftime, but Perry couldn't quite close it out.
Mount Morris' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mason Santini, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Santini hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Constantino, who scored 18 points.
Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Mount Morris, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perry will take on Geneseo at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Perry is facing Geneseo at the right time seeing as Geneseo is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Mount Morris, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wayland-Cohocton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
