Meanwhile, Burke's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 70-53 to Papillion-LaVista. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Burke in their matchups with Papillion-LaVista: they've now lost nine in a row.
Omaha Northwest's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-8. As for Burke, their loss was their 11th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-8.
Omaha Northwest suffered a grim 82-60 defeat to Burke when the teams last played back in January of 2023.
