The Xavier College Prep Gators are taking a road trip to take on the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Xavier College Prep took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let Corona del Sol get on the board and left with a 28-0 win. The Gators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 27 points or more this season.

Ana Matuz was nothing short of spectacular: she threw for 249 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 47 yards. That's the most passing touchdowns she has posted since back in October. Gigi Bulkley was in the mix as well, providing Xavier College Prep with two touchdowns.

They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Monsoon 42-14. Mountain Ridge found their leader in sophomore Amiaya Tice, who threw for 267 yards and three TDs while completing 78.3% of her passes, and also rushed for 59 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries. Tice has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last four times she's played. Cameron Mailloux was another key player, picking up 124 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Mountain Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tahlia Hempen and Allie Jensen. Jensen got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Xavier College Prep's record is now 10-6. As for Mountain Ridge, their record now sits at 9-7.
