Owyhee put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They didn't even let the Ridgevue Warhawks on the board, marking the Storm's second-straight 12-0 shutout. Give the Storm's pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Grace Brooks was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That stolen base was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Maddilynn McNulty was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Caitlyn Geiser also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Owyhee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in five consecutive contests.

Owyhee's victory was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Ridgevue, they are on a 26-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18.

Coming up, Owyhee will head out on the road to challenge Boise at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games the Brave have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Ridgevue, they will face off against Mountain View at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warhawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mavericks have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
