The Unionville Longhorns will venture away from home to take on the Kennett Blue Demons at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
Things were looking good for Unionville after they put the first run on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oxford.

Peyton Brown spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on 13 hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Unionville saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooke Donnelly, who went 2-for-4 with two runs. Grace Levendis was another, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.
Meanwhile, Kennett came into Thursday's game having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past Octorara Area 12-3 on Thursday. The Blue Demons not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 2nd (when they won 16-1).
Abby Melton made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Melton was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Kennett let Hailey Kahrs and Daiylia Winter run wild. Kahrs went 3-for-4 with three runs and one double, while Winter went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs Kahrs has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Addie Price, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Kennett kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Octorara Area only managed seven hits.
Kennett's record now sits at 5-11. As for Unionville, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
Everything went Unionville's way against Kennett in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Unionville made off with a 10-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Longhorns since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
