Plaza Heights Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sydney Berry led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 22 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Berry has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Cornine, who scored eight points along with seven steals.
Plaza Heights Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Overland Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plaza Heights Christian Academy will take on Center Place at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Center Place focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 back in December of 2023. As for Overland Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Clinton Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
