Norwood has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
On Tuesday, Norwood came up short against Miami Valley Christian Academy and fell 64-52.
Meanwhile, Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Taft on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Senators by a score of 87-85. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Tuesday (69), Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy still had to take the loss.
Despite the defeat, Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy got a solid performance out of Luke Sanders, who scored 40 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sanders has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Vest, who scored seven points along with 15 rebounds.
Norwood's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.
Things could have been worse for Norwood, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 70-51 loss to Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Norwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
