The Dade Christian Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 31 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Hialeah-Miami Lakes 74-33 at home. Given Dade Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 304th, while Hialeah-Miami Lakes is ranked 707th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Kenvenson Malivert, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Dade Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Rojo, who scored 13 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Dade Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Hialeah-Miami Lakes, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Dade Christian will head out on the road to face off against Booker T. Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hialeah-Miami Lakes and Goleman will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Goleman is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
