The Sherman Bearcats will take on the McKinney Boyd Broncos at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Sherman will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Sherman will bounce into Friday's match after beating McKinney, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. Sherman walked away with a 20-17 victory over McKinney on Thursday. The Bearcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Brennah Mask was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Jordyn Plumlee also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Sherman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .485. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, it looked like the Kentucky Derby when McKinney Boyd took on Sachse on Thursday. McKinney Boyd blew past Sachse 10-1. The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by seven runs or more this season.
Madison Treadwell made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Treadwell was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Addyson Lewis and Beckham Manley did most of the damage at the plate: Lewis scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Manley scored a run while going 2-for-3. Lewis has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Presley Ellsworth was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
The win made it two in a row for McKinney Boyd and bumps their season record up to 6-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs over those games. As for Sherman, their record now sits at 2-6-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Sherman hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like McKinney Boyd struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Sherman suffered a grim 12-5 defeat to McKinney Boyd when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Sherman avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
