Greater Dakota recap October 22, 2013
Lincoln added to the longest winning streak in Greater Dakota this week by beating Washington, 43-7. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
The Warriors lost to Lincoln 43-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Justin Miller was a bright spot for Washington, as he threw for 129 yards and ran for 49 yards in the defeat.
Aaron Beavers' team's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Connor Burchill threw for 197 and 2 touchdowns and Dylan Bartow had 49 yards receiving. On the ground Caden Quintanilla chipped in 182 yards. Caleb Rector helped Lincoln's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 42 yards.
He was 12-18 with 0 interceptions.
Quintanilla was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 182 yards on 16 carries as the Patriots bested Chad Stadem's team.
Lincoln's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Patriots feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Burchill has thrown for 1,005 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Trevor Naasz has 23 catches for 359 yards.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between Rapid City Central and O'Gorman. The Cobblers comes into the matchup ranked 16th in the state, while the Knights ranks 19th.
