Bethel Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Warriors are ranked 148th).
Horizon Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Nyla Black, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. Black has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Hester, who scored 15 points.
Mt. Bethel Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Horizon Christian Academy, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Bethel Christian Academy will take on the Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Seckinger is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Horizon Christian Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Dawson County will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
