The Chief Sealth Seahawks fell victim to the Roosevelt Roughriders''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 56-0 loss at the hands of the Roughriders. Having soared to a lofty 32 points in the game before, Chief Sealth couldn't push the score so high this time.
Roosevelt was led to victory by Zaire Griffin and Dalton Anderson. Griffin picked up 186 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Anderson threw for 307 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes. Anderson is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last six games he's played. Tommy Stapleton got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Chief Sealth's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Roosevelt, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Chief Sealth will head out on the road to face off against Meadowdale at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Meadowdale is ranked 203rd, while Chief Sealth is ranked 198th). Roosevelt does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
