Arbor View hasn't had much luck against Bishop Gorman recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Arbor View relied on the efforts of Kamareion Bell, who gained 186 total yards and two touchdowns, and Thaddeus Thatcher, who threw for 196 yards and three TDs. The Aggies are undefeated when Thatcher posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.
Arbor View was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 202 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Bishop Gorman last Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Foothill out of the water with a 56-6 final score. The Gaels haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Arbor View better keep an eye on Maika Eugenio. He was instrumental in Bishop Gorman's win, throwing for 291 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes. Eugenio has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last five times he's played. Massiah Mingo also helped with two scores in total.
Bishop Gorman didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Pesi Jr. Silva and Darian Abella. Bishop Gorman got some further help from Prince Williams: he picked up two sacks and made seven total tackles (7.0 for loss).
Bishop Gorman's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Arbor View, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.
Tuesday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Thatcher and Eugenio. Thatcher just won't slow down this season and has thrown 28 touchdowns (and and only 5 pick) while averaging 244.1 passing yards per game. Eugenio has been a dominant force too and has thrown 37 touchdowns (and and only 5 pick) while averaging 250.9 passing yards per game.
Arbor View was taken down by Bishop Gorman 69-7 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Eugenio, who threw for 261 yards and five TDs while completing 80% of his passes.
