On Friday Riverside take on West Tallahatchie at 7:00 PM. The two teams have had a rocky road up to this point with three consecutive losses for Riverside and seven for West Tallahatchie.
Riverside ended up a good deal behind South Delta when they played last Friday, losing 8-28. Riverside's defeat came about despite a quality game from senior Jonovan Tyler, who rushed for 174 yards and 1 touchdown. Tyler has been a consistent playmaker for Riverside as this was the 4th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, West Tallahatchie found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 6-33 punch to the gut against West Bolivar.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the win. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
