East Gaston and Stuart W. Cramer are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Warriors will square off against the Storm at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as East Gaston comes in on four and Stuart W. Cramer on nine.
East Gaston came out on top against Forestview on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run first inning. The Warriors took their contest against the Jaguars 11-8.

Cameron Barnette was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zane Dodd, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Dylan Wright, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
East Gaston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .535. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Stuart W. Cramer got the win against Bessemer City on Monday by a conclusive 9-1. Considering the Storm have won seven games by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Hunter Dye was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases and two runs. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Ty Detweiler was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base.
Stuart W. Cramer's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for East Gaston, their record now sits at 12-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. East Gaston has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Stuart W. Cramer struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
East Gaston couldn't quite get it done against Stuart W. Cramer in their previous matchup back in February as they fell 4-0. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
