The Randolph Ro-Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Luling Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Randolph will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Randolph pushed their score all the way to 32 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Cole by a score of 35-32.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Lee Mcmooain iii, who picked up 93 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Collin Stucki, who threw for 280 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt.
Meanwhile, Luling's recent rough patch got a bit rougher two weeks ago after their fifth straight loss. Their tough 31-10 loss to Cole might stick with them for a while.
Luling's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Isaac Pina, who rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and Cayden Lopez who rushed for 82 yards.
The losses dropped Randolph to 8-1 and Luling to 2-6.
Randolph beat Luling 31-20 when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Does Randolph have another victory up their sleeve, or will Luling turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
