The Steinbrenner Warriors's 12-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 52-36 victory over Palm Harbor University. The victory was just what Steinbrenner needed coming off of a 91-47 loss in their prior matchup.
Manny Torres was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Riley Aulls, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Steinbrenner's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-19. As for Palm Harbor University, they dropped their record down to 7-13 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Steinbrenner will head out on the road to face off against Sickles at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Palm Harbor University, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Dunedin at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. Allowing an average of 50.2 points per game, Dunedin has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this match.
