The Chrisman Cardinals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin 74-33. Chrisman has not had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Connor Rhoads, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Keison Peoples led the charge by scoring 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Peoples is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Chaz Dubois, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Chrisman has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-3.
Chrisman will head out on the road to take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Milford will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 573rd, while the Blue Devils are ranked 147th).
