The Tri-Valley Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Line Mountain Eagles, and things went their way on Saturday too. Tri-Valley enjoyed a cozy 56-40 win over the Eagles. Given Tri-Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while the Eagles are ranked 568th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Layne Yoder, who scored 14 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Braeden Doyle, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Tri-Valley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which somehow isn't as good as their 16-4 record this season. As for Line Mountain, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.
Tri-Valley will head out on the road to challenge the Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Shenandoah Valley has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 4. As for Line Mountain, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Montgomery is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
