James Kenan has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Kinston Vikings at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, James Kenan beat North Duplin 88-78.
Meanwhile, Kinston entered their tilt with Greene Central with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Kinston managed a 64-59 win over Greene Central on Wednesday. Given Kinston's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while Greene Central is ranked 421st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
James Kenan now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Kinston, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
James Kenan might still be hurting after the 60-40 defeat they got from Kinston in their previous meeting back in January. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point James Kenan was down 34-9.
