Ford Smith Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Thursday, Covington-Douglas got the W thanks in part to Ford Smith playing the best football he has all season. Smith rushed for 129 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 315 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run.
The victory for Covington-Douglas keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Smith and Covington-Douglas will welcome Coyle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Robinson turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 96 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, while also picking up 63 receiving yards. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing two fumbles and making seven total tackles.
On the season, Robinson has averaged 42.3 receiving yards per game.

Covington-Douglas Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Camden Thayer
Camden Thayer was instrumental in extending Covington-Douglas's winning streak to seven on Thursday. Cherokee had no answer to Thayer as he picked up 131 receiving yards and a touchdown. Thayer also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception.
For the season, Thayer has caught 7 touchdowns while averaging 82 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had two receiving touchdowns.

Another Davenport player making an appearance on this list is Chase Mitchell. He rushed for 36 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 162 yards and a touchdown while completing 76.9% of his passes.
