Rockcastle County lost against Madison Central in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 56-44 score last time.
Madison Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nataya Strader, who scored 24 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Brittany Campbell, who scored 14 points along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds.
Rockcastle County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Madison Central, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Rockcastle County will head out on the road to face off against South Laurel at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Madison Central, they will be playing at home against Henry Clay at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
