Midview scored the most runs they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Avon Lake Shoremen by a score of 8-7. The Middies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Shoremen apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Midview saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaiden Vogelpohl, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Jacob Armburger was another, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Midview's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Avon Lake, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

While Midview had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
