Adding to the longest winning streak in 3A South Puget Sound this week, Peninsula beat Lakes 28-14. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Seahawks.
Enumclaw took down Decatur 46-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Scotty Garvin threw for 100 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.
Gresch Jensen threw for 276 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 29-47 with 2 interceptions.
Jensen was a key player and the best on defense this week as Auburn Mountainview fell to Bonney Lake. The 6-foot-1 sophomore recorded 1 fumble.
Joey Cassano was the best receiver in the league this week as the Lions fell to the Panthers. Cassano tallied 13 receptions for 141 yards. Ryan Lacey helped Auburn Mountainview's passing attack out by catching 8 balls for 85 yards.
Auburn Mountainview's Jensen and Cassano have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Jensen has thrown for 2,152 yards this season, while Cassano has 77 catches for 1,211 yards. Bonney Lake's Ethan McElderry leads the league in rushing yards with 680.
Jason Silbaugh's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,837 from 5,246. The improvement was largely due to a 35-28 victory over Jared Gervis' team last week.
