The Bishop Verot Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 29 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 55-26 victory over Cape Coral on the road. Winning may never get old, but Bishop Verot sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Leading Bishop Verot to victory were Gavin Williams and Leroy Roker. Williams scored 24 points along with five steals, while Roker scored 21 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. The matchup was Williams' seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerry Ashley, who scored four points along with 12 rebounds and five blocks.
Bishop Verot's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Cape Coral, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
Bishop Verot will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Fort Myers at 8:30 p.m. on December 20th. Cape Coral will be home for the holidays to greet South Fort Myers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
