This season hasn't been kind to the Antonito Trojans, who are still winless after their ninth matchup. They fell 41-33 to Centennial on Friday. Antonito has not had much luck with Centennial recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Antonito still got an impressive performance from Destanaya Quintana, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Quintana is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.
Antonito bumped their record down to 0-9 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.1 points per game. As for Centennial, their win bumped their record up to 1-8.
Antonito will head out on the road to square off against Moffat at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Moffat focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Friday. As for Centennial, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake City at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lake City comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 17 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
