The Suncoast Chargers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a tough 34-10 defeat at the hands of South Fork. Suncoast has struggled against South Fork recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Omar Mejia had a dynamite game for South Fork, rushing for 183 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Another player making a difference was Tony Jefferson ii, who picked up 98 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Suncoast's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for South Fork, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Suncoast will square off against Spanish River at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Spanish River is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for South Fork, they will head out on the road to face off against Jupiter at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Jupiter is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
