It was a good run, but Fenwick unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Oak Park-River Forest Huskies by a score of 9-8. The Friars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Huskies from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Josh Morgan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Jeremy Munoz, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Fenwick's loss dropped their record down to 10-10-1. As for Oak Park-River Forest, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fenwick will host Marmion at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Oak Park-River Forest, they will face off against Downers Grove South at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
