It was a good run, but the Hills Academy Knights unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 67-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arlington Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arlington Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Davon Aikens, who scored 19 points along with three steals. Aikens hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Chezi Essel, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Hills Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5. As for Arlington Christian, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hills Academy will take on Scholars Guild Academy at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Arlington Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Cumberland Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
