DeWitt has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Everett Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully DeWitt is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Michigan (they are ranked 29th, while Everett is ranked 612th).
Last Tuesday, DeWitt strolled past Okemos with points to spare, taking the game 52-35. DeWitt pushed the score to 45-21 by the end of the third, a deficit Okemos cut but never quite recovered from.
Meanwhile, Everett's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by Holt 64-12.
DeWitt's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. As for Everett, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
DeWitt came up short against Everett in their previous meeting back in January, falling 60-51. Can DeWitt avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
