The Lima Christian Saints had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They took down Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter 47-32.
Lima Christian found their leader in underclassman Alyssa Marsh, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Marsh has scored at least 25% of Lima Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Herring, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Lima Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Lima Christian will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Friendship at 2:00 p.m. Friendship is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Young Women's College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on February 1st.
