Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Silver Bluff). They never let the Keenan Raiders get on the board and left with a 21-0 win on Wednesday. Considering the Bulldogs have won six games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kendall Newton looked comfortable as she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk).
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Makayla Allen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Haeley Bowman, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Silver Bluff's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-7. As for Keenan, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
