The Lake George Lakers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 66-40 margin over Hartford Central. With that win, Lake George brought their scoring average up to 50.7 points per game.
Lake George can attribute much of their success to Darnell Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Johnson scored 15 or more points. Angelo Bergman was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Lake George pushed their record up to 7-4 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Hartford Central, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake George will take on Fort Ann at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hartford Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Argyle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Argyle will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
